3.3, art behind the Mac sidebar, Continue Reading cards, and Mihon backups

3.3 puts art behind the Mac sidebar, turns Continue Reading into a card shelf, and imports Mihon, Tachiyomi and Paperback backups.

Update, October 8, 2026. 3.3.1 also came with a Windows build. It's a preview, and it's there for compatibility: it gets Boundless running on Windows 10 or later (x64), rough edges and all. The liquid glass look lags on Windows, so glass chrome is off by default, and I'd leave it off. About one launch in seven crashes, and reopening the app sorts it. The title bar is the plain Windows frame. Requirements and the download are on the download page.

3.3.0 is about how the app looks while you're using it. 3.3.1 is about getting here from another app.

Art behind the Mac sidebar

On Mac, art backgrounds now run behind the sidebar, and the Settings pages are clear, so all three columns show the same art. The held highlight on sidebar rows follows the glass pill now too.

Visual effects

Visual effects sit under covers and cards now, and they follow your display's refresh rate. Rain falls along its own slant. If you'd rather not have any of it, Reduce Visual Effects turns it all off, and that saves battery as a side effect.

Continue Reading is a card shelf now. Under Appearance > Library Cards you pick Cards, Covers, Compact or Off.

Tap a title to pick up at your last spot, and long press to open its page. Titles you've opened but haven't finished a chapter of show up too, and the count reads +N New.

Smaller changes

A mouse gets hover page arrows now. On wide panes, Appearance settings flow into two balanced columns, and Statistics Period and Type are compact segmented controls.

The name shown in Settings was cut off at the start. It isn't any more.

3.3.0 also has the wavy loading track fix from 3.2.1.

3.3.1, importing from Mihon

3.3.1 adds backup import from other apps. Import Backup reads Mihon and Tachiyomi backups (.tachibk) and Paperback archives (.pas4), and your library, categories, history, read chapters and tracker links all come across.

Titles from those apps keep their original source. Use Migrate in your Library to move them to a source you've installed, and the chapters you've read carry over by chapter number. Tracker links only come across for trackers you've already connected, so connect those first.

Checksums are on the 3.3.0 and 3.3.1 release pages.
