About Boundless Reader
Boundless Reader is a reader for manga, manhwa, and light novels on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android. It is free, and it ships with nothing in it.
There is no catalogue, no recommendations, and no content in the download. You point it at sources you choose, and it reads what they serve. If you wanted a store, this is the wrong app.
Accounts and your data
Signed out, nothing about what you read reaches a Boundless server. Reading, downloads, and every setting work without an account; comments and the leaderboard need one.
An account is optional, and the same account works in the app and on this site. Signing in starts syncing your library, reading progress, history, settings, and tracker connections to it, so a lost or wiped phone does not cost you your place. A separate switch, on by default, covers only how much time you spend reading, which is what feeds the leaderboard. The account also holds your release notes email setting and can link Discord for the reading leaderboard. iCloud Sync is separate: it goes to your own iCloud and never touches our server.
Sources
You add a repository by URL and install sources from it. The official repository has two: Project Gutenberg, and Komga Demo, which reads Komga's public demo server while support for your own Komga server is built. Any other repository is someone else's, and we cannot fix it when it breaks.
Who makes it
Boundless Reader is built by Wuji, with help from the people in the Discord who file the bugs and test the betas before a release goes out.
