About Boundless Reader
Boundless Reader is a reader for manga, manhwa, and light novels on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android. It is free, and it ships with nothing in it.
It is the reading app, not a library. There is no catalogue, no recommendations, and no content bundled with the download. You point it at sources you choose, and it reads what you point it at. If that is not what you wanted, this is the wrong app and it is better to know now.
What it does not do
Reading progress, downloads, and settings stay on the device. Nothing about what you read is uploaded to a Boundless server, because there is no server holding it. You can use the whole app without an account.
An account is optional and does a small, specific list of things: it saves your preferences across devices, it lets you follow release notes, and it opts you into the Discord reading leaderboard. It has never stored a library or a reading position and it is not going to.
Sources
A source is a third-party repository you add by URL. Komga is the one we officially support, and the extension currently points at Komga's public demo server while support for your own self-hosted server is built. Any other repository you add is not maintained by us, and we cannot fix it when it breaks. That is the honest trade for an app that ships empty.
Who makes it
Boundless Reader is built by Wuji, with help from the people in the Discord who file the bugs and test the betas before a release goes out.
